John strives to achieve an efficient, economical and timely resolution of disputes. He is tough when necessary. Some of the disputes John handles include complex commercial contracts, partnership and investor disputes, fiduciary duties, unfair competition and employment related matters.

Unless the parties agree otherwise, John conducts arbitration hearings under the applicable Rules of the American Arbitration Association in effect at the time the arbitration proceeding is initiated.  

John is an evaluative mediator. John's extensive complex commercial litigation experience and in-depth knowledge of the law, particularly related to business torts, enables him to focus the parties' attention on the critical issues and to gain their confidence from his fair and balanced demeanor.

John focuses on closing a settlement. He is willing to work with the parties as long as it takes, including late into the night, if necessary. John's philosophy is that there are no winners or losers in mediation; whereas, in litigation both sides often lose economically.
